Days of 2024
Article 46 of the Labor Code mentions mandatory rest days, namely:
- Monday, January 1st
- Tuesday, January 9th
- Tuesday, February 13 (Shrove Tuesday)
- Friday, March 29 (Good Friday)
- Wednesday, May 1st
- Monday, July 1 (inauguration of the President of the Republic)
- Monday, November 4 (transfer from November 3)
- Tuesday, November 5
- Monday, November 11 (day of November 10)
- Thursday, November 28th
- Monday, December 9 (transfer from December 8)
- Friday, December 20
- Wednesday, December 25
Form of Payment
Personnel who work during a National Holiday or National Mourning will be paid a 150% hourly surcharge in addition to their salary and will be entitled to another day off during the week.
In the event that the company does not grant the compensatory day, it will have to pay a surcharge of 50% per hour.
If the employee works during the day that was assigned as a compensatory day, he/she will receive a surcharge of 50% per hour.
Transfer of Rest
During 2024, on National Holidays or National Mourning days that coincide with a Sunday, the day of rest will be moved to the following Monday.
If the company works on the Monday designated as a day of rest, the company shall pay a surcharge of 50% per hour.
