Law 81 of March 26, 2019 and its regulation by Executive Decree N°285 of May 28, 2021.
Its purpose is to "establish the principles, rights, obligations and procedures that regulate the protection of personal data".
Personal data shall mean...
"Any information concerning natural persons, which identifies them or makes them identifiable."
Processing of personal data
There is a series of personal information that the employer obtains from the employee who is the owner of the personal data. Generally, this information is required through the human resources area and is necessary to give way to the administration and management of the labor relationship from which a series of rights and obligations arise for both parties.
It is important that the company establishes policies for the protection of personal data and trains the personnel in charge of handling it.
